Guru, 1/2 of the legendary hip hop group Gangstarr (along with Dj Premier), passed away over the night from a long battle with cancer. Guru was a pioneer in the industry and pushed limits of creativity especially with his "Jazzmatazz" projects which fused hip hop and jazz. I basically grew up on Gangstarr and to hear of his passing was definitely a sad moment. Luckily, we still have his music and always will. Today Mister Cee did a tribute Guru mix on Hot 97. Miss Info hooked it up with a download and got the file straight from the station. So no commercials and the audio quality is excellent. R.I.P. Guru. Stream and download the mix after the jump.
