One of Hip Hop's silent pioneers passed away on April 8th of this year, 2010. Dj Premier decided to take it to the turntables and pay homage to McLaren with a tribute mix. Most people have no idea who Malcom McLaren was or what songs he was involved with. His most famous track is "Buffalo Gals" with the famous repeating lines "buffalo gals go 'round the outside, 'round the outside, 'round the outside." McLaren was also the punk rock band's "Sex Pistols" manager. Blogcritics has a great write-up of some of McLarens tributes to the hip hop genre. Check it out here.
