One of my personal favorite artists, Blu releases a new mixtape with Dj Heat. The third tape in their “So(ul) Amazing” mixtape series. R.I.P. DJ AM: A Collection Of Mixes

This post is in honor of DJ AM. One of the greatest club/mix dj’s of our time. DJ AM was pioneer and his ability to control a crowd was one of one. From Dj’ing Hollywood nightclubs, to giving away amazing free mixes on the internet, to touring worldwide, Dj AM was without a doubt a great artist. He set the trend with the “eclectic” mix. AM’s style of blending hip hop, pop, rock, 80’s, funk, soul, breaks and more all in one set was groundbreaking and therefore imitated by dj’s all over the world. Dj AM will definitely be missed and hopefully his name will remain a legacy in the music industry. This post serves as an honor to his music and features a collection of 16 of his mixes. Most of the mixes are well over an hour and capture AM’s style of djing. Personally, I like to throw on an AM mix during a house party, as it always gets people up and animated. Slaughterhouse is in heavy promo right now. Their album is out in stores now and they are also currently touring all over the place to promote it. Everyone has a favorite, I think, out of the four members of Slaughterhouse. Crooked I though is the only West Coast representative out of the bunch. September 7th reminds everyone of this fact on this latest tape “Westside Slaughterhouse.” Featuring lesser known Crooked tracks as well as some off of the new album. At first I wasn’t that open to listening to Nipsey Hustle. But, once again, my boy @mikeslim said that his new tape was dope and I should give it a listen. So, I gave it the listen and decided that it should be on the site for sure. The tape is good and Nipsey has skills.
