Mick Boogie - The Honor Roll
October 6, 2008

Mick Boogie puts together a brand new mixtape in tribute of VH1’s “Hip Hop Honors.” Mick Boogie is slowly moving away from “mixtape” dj and more towards “producer” dj. Consistently putting out great concept mixtapes, such as this one. “The Honor Roll” features new music from artists such as Freeway, Kidz In The Hall, Alchemist, Little Brother, Evidence, Talib Kweli and more. Hosted by VH1’s new reality host, MC Serch. The concept is that all of these new artists cover classic hip hop tracks from artists like Slick Rick, Naughty By Nature, Too Short, De La Soul and more. With 20 plus tracks, this is a collectors mixtape. Mick Boogie is on his grind and becoming one of the greats with mixtapes like this. Always a free mixtape download over here. The Empire & T.I. - I Know You Missed Me
October 5, 2008

Here is a new mixtape from The Empire featuring T.I. The mixtape is in promotion for T.I.’s new studio album “Paper Trail.” The mixtape is short, but features a whole bunch of tracks that aren’t on “Paper Trail,” as well as a live version of “Live Your Life” featuring Rhianna. “Paper Trail” is already out and is good, but there are a few tracks on here that didn’t make the cut that I would have put on Paper Trail. Ill Poetic Presents: “Nine Inch Naliens” (Outkast/NIN Mash Up)
September 9, 2008

Ill Poetic dropped the Joe Budden X Portishead mixtape a little while back. This time it’s Outkast X NIN, hence the “Nine Inch Naliens” title. The mash-up is cool and definitely worth the listen. Nine Inch Nails are known for their dark sort of electronic music and it fits very well with the sound of Outkast. Sort of dark, but definitely cool to zone out and listen to. Check it out. Nice job again Ill Poetic. Search the site for the Joe Budden X Portishead mixtape also. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape.
