J.Cole really needs to start releasing some new music. Luckily the good folks at Hip Hop DX put together a little mixtape/compilation of some of the newer tracks that Cole’s released since his last mixtape “The Warm Up.” J. Cole’s debut album is definitely in my top 5 most anticipated releases for 2010. I’m just hoping he doesn’t get shelved. A lot of people would think that him getting shelved could never ever happen, but anything can happen with these labels. Never say never. I really hate people who say stuff like, "i know cats in the hood that flow harder" "I know dudes at the playground that are better than Jordan" "I went to school wit a dude faster than Usain Bolt" LMAO funny they aren't the ones who got signed to a contract. Maybe you're the only one that knows them. So what J used a line or two. He's got mixtapes full of original content that's HIGH QUALITY music. Go listen to The Warm Up and then make an informed opinion.
This mixtape gets 2 thumbs down! i downloaded this mixtape in the hopes that it would be good since this guy gets alot of hype. but was let down =/ i really hope he writes better stuff in the future because this is just a bunch of nonsense. he is rapping about the same shit everyone else like the game raps about. cars bitches drugs blah blah and blah. thats why i'm happy that there are guys like lupe fiasco and nas who rap about real life events. not this garbage. what a dissapointment

J Cole is niiiice. Not sure what's not to enjoy about the dudes music. There's hip hop and there's rap. they are not the same. The people that dont like J Cole probably blastin garbage radio rap, jumpin up and down about every winy lil wayne song. J Cole is hip hop. The game knows it, other artists are recognizing it. J.Cole is a seriously talented dude! His flow and wordplay are serious and he also makes dope beats… Not many guys out there can do that! If you haven’t heard “The Warm Up” then I highly recommend you to check it out… Is a lot better then “The Blow Up” and is still one of my favourites CD’s! J.Cole is the next BIG thing for sure!!!
