November 27, 2009
Drake’s 2006 mixtape “Room For Improvement” just got the re-release, no dj, re-mastered drop. Dj Smallz originally hosted the tape, but he decided to let it go without the drops. If you haven’t downloaded this, then you probably should and if you already have it then you should get this version because the audio quality is much better. Lupe Fiasco – Enemy Of The State: A Love Story
November 26, 2009
Here is the brand new mixtape from Lupe Fiasco. Lupe has sort of been out of the spotlight for quite sometime now, but he seems to be back on a little burst of new music. This new tape and then he announced he will be releasing another new one on Christmas. The mixtape features Lupe rhyming over and remixing some well known tracks, such as Clipse’s “Popular Demand”, Jay-Z’s “So Ghetto”, Slaughterhouse’s “The One” and more. The mixtape is dope. Enjoy new music from one of the better artists out there. Happy Thanksgiving to all as well. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Snoop Dogg – I Wanna Rock
November 23, 2009
In promotion for Snoop’s upcoming album “Malice In Wonderland” dropping on December 8th, Snoop decides to let loose a new mixtape hosted by Dj Scream, Whoo Kid and Dj Skee. By the way, what’s the point in having 3 mixtape dj’s to host a tape? People don’t even want 1 host, yet some artists feel the need to have 3? Anyway, the new tape features some new tracks from the big Snoopy Dog. With some features from Nipsey Hustle, The-Dream and even Harvey Keitel, the tape is a nice sampler to see whether or not you should cop the album when it comes out. There are some dope tracks on here. I’ll post the standout tracks after the jump. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Tracklist and downloads below. Get Right…
AtariCoolKids Present: Travis Barker – It’s Me Against The World (ReMixtape)
November 23, 2009
The AtariCoolKids release an un-official Travis Barker mixtape featuring a collection of his well-known remixes. If you haven’t seen or heard any of these then search YouTube. They get a ton of views. Barker takes popular rap tracks and then rocks out on the drums behind the lyrics. Watching the videos is one thing, but it’s also nice to have them all in one mixtape download. Surprisingly, the audio quality is good. Don’t forget we listen to everything we post over here at GetRightMusic.com, unlike the other sites. I don’t have to name names. If you’re a Barker fan, then this is a dope download. Check it out. November 21, 2009
Dj Unexpected and Hevehitta are back with their “Southern Royalty” mixtape series. This one is focused on the self-proclaimed king of the south, T.I. November 19, 2009
In promotion for Rakim’s new studio album “The Seventh Seal,” Dj Parler puts out a 1 track 40 minute mix featuring classic Rakim as well as some of his new cuts. Rakim was a true pioneer and it is very commendable that he is still in the studio and putting out dope records at that. Parler put together a great mix here that you just have to push play on and enjoy. Not much more to say. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Emilio Rojas – The Natural
November 18, 2009
Dj Green Lantern presents Emilio Rojas with his latest mixtape titled “The Natural.” Emilio has shown tremendous growth since his last mixtape with Dj Noodles. I think he may even be one of the most improved artists in my opinion for 2009. “The Natural” mixtape comes off like a street album and features some heavyweight production from beat makers like 6th Sense, M-Phazes, Green Lantern, Boi-1da, Nottz, Sean C & LV and more. When I first heard Emilio’s music last year I didn’t think that he would be an artist capable of holding down a full album, but after hearing this tape my opinions definitely changed. Take a listen to Rojas. Always a free mixtape download here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Tracklist and downloads after the jump. Get Right…
Pill – 4075 The Refill
November 17, 2009
There’s been a lot of talk lately about up and comer Pill. Coming out of the south and getting some serious co-signs, his second wide release mixtape is hosted by Dj Skee and The Empire. Although this version of the tape on GetRightMusic.com is DJ Free, because nobody really likes to hear the dj, just the music. I haven’t heard much of Pill’s previous material, but this tape is definitely quality and worth a listen. Look out for Pill. I’ll post some standout tracks on this one. Jack Splash – Heir To The Throne Vol.1
November 13, 2009
Currently as I am writing this post I’m listening to Jack Splash for the first time. I have never heard of him, so props to TSS and DJ Skee for presenting the tape. Jack Splash has true talent and currently is signed to J Records and working on his studio album slated for a 2010 release. Getting his start as a producer who has had a hand in many hits, now Splash is getting into the spotlight, and deservedly should. The production alone is dope. This is a must download in my opinion and may even make our top ten list for 2009… Here’s what TSS said about the project.
Along with DJ Skee, we’re proud to bring to you Jack Splash’s Heir To The Throne Vol. 1. On the surface, the mixtape is a motion picture in audio form, inspired by scenes seen after living in both L.A and Miami. It’s energetic, eclectic rhymes spiced with doses of rap, funk and traces of techno.
At first listen, Jack Splash’s lyrics are glitzy & inspired by living the life. But with an open ear, the differences between the mixtape and Jack’s previous work with Plantlife are apparent. Before the glamor there was the grind, evidenced on “Baatin.†There was the study of musical styles that you hear in the words & sounds used for “Charlie Wilson†& “Rick James.†If you listen closely, you’ll hear the words and sounds from the guy who had a hand in finding Keys and crafting a Legend. The guy who shaped the sounds of Missy and Jamie. The guy who influenced anybody famous enough to go by one name.
Now, after manning the boards and creating for so many others, it’s time to meet Jack. Watch for the forthcoming album Technology and Love Might Save Us All… coming spring 2010 on J Records. For now, enjoy Heir To The Throne Vol. 1.

Dj Vinroc – Human Highlight Mix
November 13, 2009
Dj Vinroc, a member of the 5th Platoon Dj/Turntablist group, just released this mix with Packer Shoes to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Reebok Pump sneakers. There is a film coinciding with the release as well. You can read more about it here. The mix from Vinroc is a throwback from artists like Public Enemy, House Of Pain, Run DMC, Gang Starr, All City, Tribe Called Quest and more. If you’re in the mood to take a trip down memory lane, then Vinroc supplied the music. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Trackstar The Dj: Best Rapper Alive? Royce Da 5′9″ vs. Lil Wayne
November 12, 2009
Trackstar The Dj is back with a brand new mixtape for everyone. If you don’t recall, Trackstar put out a dope “Best Of” mixtape of Royce a little bit ago. This one however is a faceoff between Wayne and Royce. I’ll let Track explain his logic behind the production of this one.
Since Jay-Z stopped worrying about being the best and declared himself the greatest, many people have claimed the title of Best Rapper Alive, but few as often as Lil Wayne and Royce Da 5′9″.
While Wayne is a global superstar and Royce owns the underground, they seem to share similar taste in beats — “D.O.A.,†“I’m Me†and “Can’t Tell Me Nothing†as notable examples. I went ahead and put together twelve rounds of Nickel and Weezy facing off over the same beat, threw in a boxing motif, and now I’ll let the people decide.
The artwork on the back with the scorecard is excellent. The logic behind the mixtape is equally excellent. Trackstar always comes through with the dope mixtapes, so everyone should probably download this one here. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. S-Preme – The Sicktape: Vol.2
November 10, 2009
Terry Urban presents S-Preme’s Sicktape Vol.2. I didn’t get a chance to hear his first “Sicktape” yet, but this tape is pretty tight. S-Preme has talent and I enjoyed listening to this one. Take a listen for yourself.
The Sicktape sees S-Preme narrating the spikes and spirals of being an aspiring MC. Each track unveils another chapter in the protagonist’s journey thru the limelight, including some unexpected hurdles that many in the industry are all too familiar with. By the end, The Sicktape will have rising stars and star-gazers wondering whether the “big time†truly is worth the sacrifice of mind, body, and — in most cases — the soul.
Guest spots from Amanda Diva and ESSO along with production from Soundtrakk (Lupe Fiasco’s in-house beatsmith) and Charles Hamilton set the scenes for this audio odyssey.Props/shit-talk to @spreme is highly encouraged! #sicktape2

MaG & G.C. – $5 Cover
November 4, 2009
We’ve featured some of MaG’s music on here before, but this time he is back with a brand new free EP along with G.C. This project is getting lots of good review across the internet. The EP is hosted on the Bandcamp platform (my favorite) so you can stream it and check it out before downloading. It’s definitely worth the listen. Head over and check it out. Cookin’ Soul – Night Of The Living Dead Pt.2 (2Pac Edition)
November 3, 2009
This tape sort of slipped by us here at GetRightMusic.com. It was released on Halloween and is the second part of Cookin’ Soul’s Halloween mixtape series, Night Of The Living Dead 2. The mixtape features original “Halloween Esque” beats from CS with 2Pac verses laid on top, as well as some Biggie, Big L, 50 Cent, Jay-Z and Nas. The idea is great and Cookin’ Soul knows how to produce for sure. The first one that featured Biggie Smalls was better in my opinion though. But, anyway, I know a lot of you all probably want to hear this one. So, here it is. Hosted by Dj Whoo Kid. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Dj Laser: Shyne – Son Of Sam
November 3, 2009
Dj Laser has been dropping some dope mixtapes over the past few months (we’ve been watching). A lot of times the mixtapes are similar to other tapes that get released and sometimes just don’t make the cut here. Currently, there are a few Shyne mixtapes circulating right now running off of Shyne’s recent publicity, but Laser’s “The Son Of Sam” tape is the best out. That is until Shyne drops an official tape. This one features classic Shyne Po material and if you’re like me some of these tracks may have been misplaced over the years. So, it’s nice to have them all on one mix. Wiz Khalifa – Burn After Rolling
November 2, 2009
Wiz Khalifa is back with a brand new tape. “Burn After Rolling” is an excellent mixtape featuring brand new tracks from this up and coming artist. Wiz really doesn’t need a dj to host his tapes. But, he has Dj Rockstar and Dj Ill Will hosting this one. I remember when I posted one of Wiz’s older mixtapes on the site last year and a lot of people said he wouldn’t last and that he was too similar to Tyga. I’ve always thought that Wiz has more talent than Tyga, hence Wiz getting the posts on GetRightMusic.com. If you haven’t heard Wiz’s music then this is the tape to download. I feel like this tape has the best production out of Wiz’s previous mixtapes. Check it out and leave a comment. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads.
