Rik Cordero & The Kickdrums – Inside A Change Soundtrack

Rik Cordero, the most sought after music video director right now and The Kickdrums, one of the most sought after production teams, present the “Inside A Change†Soundtrack. The soundtrack is to the “Inside A Change” feature film from Rik Cordero and his Three/21 Media company, which is premiering tonight at the HBO Latino festival in NYC. The soundtrack features brand new music by Consequence, Joell Ortiz, Skillz, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Wale, Saigon, Royce Da 5′9″, The Kickdrums, J.A.M.E.S. Watts, Statik Selektah, Illmind, A.P., Nami Unreal and more. The soundtrack also contains samples from the film as well as professionally scored segments. I think it’s a great move that Rik decided to release this soundtrack for free, which will undoubtedly be excellent promotion for the film. This is truly a great album that should be downloaded. Mishka & Major Lazer – Keep Watch Vol.X

I just recently got put on to Major Lazer and was a fan right away. Major Lazer is a fictional character created by producers Diplo and Switch. I’ll post the official description of Lazer below. It’s too much to describe. Anyway, clothing company Mishka just put out a Major Lazer shirt and in promotion for it also dropped this tape featuring one long MP3 of electro-reggae-dancehall, if that makes sense. I’m no Skater, but Terry Urban and clothing label Orisue put together a dope mixtape that I can definitely rock out to . Songs To Skate To is a mixtape featuring various songs from various skate videos. An eclectic mix of music from Iron Maiden to Cream to Ol’ Dirty Bastard. SONG’S TO SKATE TO MIXTAPE
Terry Urban from The Press Play Show collaborated with us on a project involving two things important to us: skateboarding and of course, music. With this project, we’ve put together a collection of songs from classic skateboard video parts, both new and old.
What most people fail to realize is how much of an influence skateboarding has on fashion, music, and many other things. If you grew up around the skate culture, a lot of the music you listen to is because you heard that artist or that song in a skateboard video. There are so many different style’s of skateboarding and your style directly influences what kind of music you listen to. You might wear a little baggier clothes, do a lot of technical lines and you prefer to listening to hip hop. Or, you might wear tighter pants and skate a 100 miles per hour, jumping down big handrails and you listen to Metal. With that being said you know when you watch a skateboard video you usually are going to get a pretty interesting mash up of music. This mixtape pays homage to some of the classics that we love. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did putting it together!
