Dj Teddy King is back with a brand new mixtape along with another great dj, Rugged One. You may remember the name Teddy King, for this Nas mixtape. One of the best Nas mixes to date in my opinion. Well, TK is back with a different type of mix. This one is more funk, soul, disco and grooves. This is a dope mix from two great dj’s that you can just put on, push play and vibe out. A good tape just to put on during a party or entertaining, you get the idea. You will probably recognize a lot of these grooves from the hip hop songs that sampled them.

“ Rugged and I have been friends since 2002 and we met in the Dj battle scene. We were both competing in all the DMC battles that were still strong back then.
Every time we would have a practice we would always break out all the dusty rare records and play some breaks and just some ILL music.
This mixtape Get Into The Party Life is really about expressing some our favorite music. Its also about making people dance and grooving with the sounds coming from our soul’s. Without a doubt you will enjoy this mix cd.â€

“Well me and Teddy were talking about music like classics, soul and funk for fun. Then realize we have something good….hence the title. So we decided to do the mix, went to Teddy’s crib to record then recorded mine at home and both mixes came out slammin’ !!!
Of course I had to vibe off Teddy’s mix and then I picked out songs that fit and the rest is history. Also shouts to my boy Reel Drama mastering the levels which he did a good jobâ€.

Here is Lloyd Banks’ latest mixtape, a double disc project, hosted by none other than Dj Whoo Kid. Thanks for the shoutouts on the tape Whoo Kid! Banks is back at it going in over various instrumentals. All the tracks on here are new. These mixtapes are where Lloyd Banks really shines in my opinion. He’s got to keep his name out there also, and since he is in the back of the line in terms of release dates for G-Unit, then dropping free music online is great promotion for him. The mixtape has a bunch of featuring spots from artists like Jay Rock, Ron Browz, Uncle Murda, and Red Cafe. A pretty good mixtape from Lloyd Banks and definitely worth the download if you’re a fan. For those who frequent the site, you may remember we used to put out a monthly “summary” mixtape featuring some of the latest songs out. Those mixtapes sort of came to a halt just from being too busy to get them together. A lot of people since the stop have been asking for them again. So, here we go. He has a very unique flow and the beats are actually what grabbed my attention. Very futuristic in sound and NeakO’s lyrics fit nicely on top. When super producer J Dilla passed away in 2006, few could claim they felt the loss more than Madlib. He and Dilla had come together to present one of the most critically claimed albums of 2003, Champion Sound, and were planning on coming together again to continue to bring jaw-dropping soundscapes to the masses for years to come. It wasn’t meant to be. Since the loss of J-Dilla, Jaylib’s other half has continued pushing his beat factory to its limits, interweaving solo projects dedicated to or predicated by Dilla’s spirit in with EPs and albums highlighting some of today’s most underrated lyricists and singers. Madlib is the textbook definition of a “über-producer”, one who raises the bar consistently in quality and quantity, leaving a legacy few (besides his partner J-Dilla) could even come close to touching. But, as Roger Guenver Smith said as he portrayed Huey P. Newton in the critically-acclaimed A Huey P. Newton Story, “Everyone wants to bring you flowers when you die, no one gives you a bowl of soup to help keep you alive.” It is in this context, Dub MD and Cyrano would like to present a “bowl of soup” to Madlib entitled Madicinal Libationz.
Cyrano’s horizons are set even higher for 2009 as he attempts to add to his ever-growing, Madlib-esque catalog, including releasing 3 albums, Back 2 Lyfe (produced by Centric for Free At Last Music Group) and Soul Train Dancer: A Tribute To Rosie Perez (produced by JSLIKK for Backpackers Anonymous Music Group) along with SOBEIT (produced by Kid Hum for House Of Waxx Recordings) Also, be on the lookout as the RockTheDub website will be releasing a mixtape with Cy Yung entitled The Bleu Bayou Project. In addition to all that Dub MD with be connecting once again with Detroit emcee Nametag for Classic Cadence Vol. 2 and once again with the diabolical genius that is Illmind for Blaps, Rhymes & Life Vol. 3 in the next couple of months, stay tuned!

Mr. Peter Parker is back with another mixtape. This one is all Eminem and it features tracks from Eminem during his early years (his best in my opinion). Personally, that is when I really enjoyed listening to Eminem. This tape features some of the classic tracks from Marshall like “Any Man,” “5 Star Generals,” “Scary Movie,” “If I get Locked Up Tonight,” and many many more, including some of Eminems classic freestyles. Eminem is starting his promotions for his upcoming studio album, which has been long long awaited. Based off of his first single for it, I’m not that impressed. Hopefully things turn around.
