I can still remember exactly where I was 12 years ago today when I heard that Biggie Smalls was murdered. He was one of the greatest artists ever in hip-hop and was a true pioneer in many aspects. There will always be tribute mixtapes and songs done in his memory and there has been for 12 years now, but Cookin’ Soul and Dj Drama really raised the bar for all future tributes and mixtapes in general. Cookin’ Soul reworked the original Biggie songs and then layed in new verses from artists like Styles P, Lil Cease, Wilie The Kid, Grafh, Emilio Rojas, Uncle Murda and more.
