Brandun Deshay – “Volume: Two! For The Show”
March 31, 2009
Brandun Deshay, producer/artist coming out of Chicago releases a second edition to his mixtape series. Brandun shot this tape over to me a few weeks ago and I haven’t gotten a chance to really sit down and give it a listen, but I’m glad I did today. Brandun is a young artist, but you can definitely hear his talent and his potential. His production is definitely new and unique and his rhyming is reminiscent of some, but with a fresh twist. Check out Brandun and give him a little time and I’m sure you won’t be dissappointed. Always a free mixtape download over here. Tracklist and downloads below. Get Right…

Dj Fricktion & The Lovesoul Dj’s – “The Golden Chamber”
March 30, 2009
Very rarely do I come across a mixtape that I extremely support and will promote unconditionally. This is one of them. Props to YN for putting me on. The mixtape is put together by Dj Fricktion and The Lovesoul Dj’s, coming out of England. The tape is also hosted by Wu-Tang, all of them, yes all of them. Pretty much in a short summary, the tape features classic Wu-Tang tracks as well as other classic music from that “Golden Era” of hip hop. Basically, everything I used to listen to as a freshman in high school (does that date me?..). That’s probably why I like the tape so much. But, this is when hip hop was hip hop and it let’s me reminisce a little bit. Just check the tracklisting and you’ll see what I mean. The tape also features exclusive interviews from Wu-Tang members. Big Mike & Styles P – “Phantom Empire”
March 27, 2009

March 23, 2009
Kevin Nottingham shot this mixtape over to me the other day and I was very happy he did. Especially, on a Monday when I didn’t feel like getting up and working. The mixtape is put together by 3 of some of the best music blogs on the net. NappyAfro.com, KevinNottingham.com & YourFavoriteWhiteBoy.com. I will let Kevin’s words do the talking on this one. Also, the artwork by B-Easy is dope.

Re-Up On Lupe Fiasco: The Farenheit Mixtapes (3 Tapes)
March 22, 2009
Lupe Fiasco: Farenheit 1/15 – “The Truth Is Among Us”
I decided due to the lack of good mixtapes recently I should re-post this classic mixtape series from Lupe Fiasco. The Farenheit 1/15 mixtapes featured 3 different mixtapes from the Chicago artist. Lupe has been pretty quiet recently, but these tapes are (could be) his best material. Part I called “The Truth Is Among Us” features Lupe rhyming over various instrumentals and beats. A dope tape. Lupe Fiasco: Farenheit 1/15 III – “A Rhyming Ape”
“A Rhyming Ape” is the third tape in the series. The mixtape is short, only 8 tracks, but still a good download. This one has more of a theme to it. It features Lupe rhyming over a select few of beats from The Gorrilaz group. All three of these mixtapes are collectors items for Lupe Fiasco fans. Wale ft. Lady Gaga – “Chillin” (CDQ)
March 21, 2009
Wale leaked this track the other day. This is his single to his upcoming studio album. The track features Lady Gaga on the hook, but the original version that leaked a few months ago was a little different. Some are saying the original was better, the jury is still out over here. Always a free download here. Props to YN. Get Right…
Pimp C ft. Lil Wayne – “Let’s Talk Money”
March 20, 2009
R.I.P. Pimp C. Lil Wayne jumps on this track featuring 2 verses from the late artist Pimp C. Apparently Wayne’s verse is a 50 diss, but I can’t really hear it. I don’t know. This track was out a few days ago, but had those NMC tags all over it. Here’s the tag-less version. Always a free download here. Get Right…
Dj Diggz & Rated R – I Used To Get It In New York

Throwback: Doo Wop & Funkmaster Flex – Face Off 1997
March 20, 2009
The mixtapes have been really really slow lately, not sure why, but here’s a throwback tape courtesy of Miss Info. I usually post these in the “Classics” section, but due to the lack of the new, here it is, up here. The mixtape features “golden age” music from the likes of Mobb Deep, Biggie, Cru, Big Pun, Wu-Tang and more. Always a free mixtape download here. Tracklist and downloads below. Get Right…
New Music Cartel: Fabolous – “The Fabolous Life”
March 18, 2009
Here goes a new Fabolous mixtape. This comes by way of the internet powers that be (NMC). The New Music Cartel put this tape together featuring a double disc (I doubt this is even a physical release) of Fabolous tracks and verses. Many of these tracks you have already heard, but may have lost along the years and many of them you may have not heard and need to add to your library of Loso. The mixtape doesn’t really feature any exclusives, which sort of puzzles me, being that the NMC is all about exclusives. Anyway, if you need some Fabolous music, then download the tape. Spotted first over at the 2 Dope Boyz. Always a free mixtape download here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Tracklist and downloads below. Get Right…
