Theophilus London – This Charming Mixtape
January 31, 2009
This mixtape was released about a week ago, but I needed some time to sit down and listen to it and see if it should be posted or not. It is definitely a different and very experimental tape. Theophilus is out of Brooklyn, New York and some may consider him electo-hop. On the other hand, just when you think you can clasify his style, he switches it up and you re-think it. Whatever the style, Theophilus has skills and the uniqueness of the tape is very refreshing in a “every other mixtape is Gucci Mane, Wayne, Yo Gotti, blah blah blah…” era. You may need to practice some recreational, pshycodelic medication to really get this tape. Check it out and widen your range of music. Always a free mixtape download over here. 50 Cent – “Officer Ricky Go Ahead & Try Me” (Rick Ross & Khaled Diss)
January 30, 2009
Rick Ross went at 50 in his latest track “Mafia Music” and got exactly what he wanted, a response. In my opinion 50 ethered him. I know 50 is in promotion for his album as well as Ross, but I’m glad somebody called out Ricky Ross for his lies about being a Correctional Officer earlier this year. 50 also poked shots at Dj Khaled (the worst person ever) and Lil Wayne. Check it out. Always a free download over here. Get Right…

Dj Teddy King: Nas – Surviving The Times
January 27, 2009
It’s not often that mixtapes like this come around. Teddy King released this mixtape a few months ago and it received rave reviews across the boards. The mixtape features truly vintage and rare Nas cuts. T.K. did not want to release the mixtape digitally at first, since it was, one a major project and two entirely mixed with records and digitizing takes away from that analog sound. This is why I am proud to announce that Teddy King has agreed to release this mixtape digitally and exclusively with Get Right Music. This is not your run-of-the-mill Nas mixtape. This tape is serious and features tracks that are almost impossible to find. Teddy King puts it all together wonderfully. You won’t find any of the popular Nas tracks here. The mixtape is two discs and therefore a large download. So be patient, it’s worth it. The first disc features vintage and rare music from Nas, while the second disc is a rare Nas mix from Teddy King on the East Village Radio show in NYC. The mixtape was released originally through Boundless music. Boundless is one of the finest streetwear clothing shops in NYC. Check them out to get yourself a physical copy of this mix and some dope clothing while you’re at it. Alright, that should be enough to convince you to download. The new mixtape from Tapemasters Inc. features some new music from the singer as well as some of his more recognizable pop hits. Always a free mixtape download over here. Focus ft. Royce Da 5′9″, Phonte & Stat Quo – Homage To Premier
January 25, 2009

Focus, the producer from Aftermath, pays homage to one of the greatest hip hop producers ever, DJ Premier. Not sure if Focus is working on an album himself or this is just a single. Either way, it’s a dope track. Royce, Phonte and Stat Quo do a great job over the Premier-like beat put together by Focus. Check it out. Focus did an excellent job making a Premier beat. Tapemasters Inc: Jim Jones – Jockin Jim Jones
January 23, 2009
The Tapemasters Inc dropped a few mixtapes this week, a few are just recycled tracks and some have some new music on them. This one here though features all pretty new Jim Jones songs and remixes. I sort of get mad at myself for listening to Jim Jones, but sometimes it just works. This new tape features a nice little mix of some of his latest tracks. Featuring the “Day N Night” remix with Kid Cudi, the “I Love College” remix with Asher Roth and also his new track “Scarz.” Check it out. Always a free mixtape download over here. Ya Boy – Kush 2009
January 23, 2009
Ya Boy, is a new artist out of the West Coast (Bay Area) for those who don’t know. We have posted a few of his previous mixtapes and tracks on the site, so do a search if you want more. On this brand new mixtape put together with the help of Dj Dig and Digital Product, Ya Boy goes in on 12 classic West Coast instrumentals. Ya Boy is catching a buzz very fast and there was a lot of anticipation for this tape here. I still think he sounds a little bit like The Game, but it may not be enough to hurt his career. He does have talent and a lot of potential. If you haven’t heard any Ya Boy before, then this is the tape to download. Check it out. Always a free mixtape download over here. Saigon – Pushing Buddens
January 21, 2009
I’m not sure how many more posts I can keep giving these two. If it keeps going I think I’ll create a new section for this beef. Apparently though Saigon and Joe Budden just had a phone convo together and discussed things. Anyway this is the response to the response. A nice one here, over a Wu-Tang instrumental. Sai-Giddy. Always a free download here. Get Right…
Mack Maine – This Is Just A Mixtape
January 21, 2009
Don Cannon “co-stars?” in this new mixtape from Mack Maine. The tape is a great promotion for this new artist on the Young Money label. There’s been a lot of hype in the release of this tape and I have had a lot of emails requesting it. The mixtape features artists like Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Baby, Gorilla Zoe and more. Luckily, Moe Arora from “Making The Mogul” posted it up on his site, so you can visit there to get the download. Moe has a great site that you should check out anyway so here is a good opportunity. Dj Skee & Charles Hamilton – The Best Of The Hamiltonization Process
January 19, 2009
If you remember back a few months, Charles Hamilton and Dj Skee put together a mixtape promotion series titled “The Hamiltonization Process.” They released a mixtape every month for a few months with some of the major hip-hop sites on the net. (We didn’t get the look over here at Get Right…Maybe next time we’ll get the respect). Anyway, we didn’t post every mixtape from the series on the site. We only posted a few because not all of them were great tapes in our opinion. I felt that some were maybe rushed just to get them out in the time they said they would release. I think it had an effect on the quality. Luckily, they decided to put out a “Best Of” mixtape from all of those tapes. Featuring the better songs off of each mixtape. If you haven’t heard any Charles Hamilton music, then this is the tape you want to download to get familiar. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Evil Empire: Lil Wayne – The Leak 6
January 19, 2009
The Evil Empire releases the sixth tape in the Lil Wayne “Leak” series. It surprises me that people still get excited about new Lil Wayne mixtapes and tracks. His buzz will soon fade though, but until that day, new mixtapes are still being released. This new one here features some of the latest Weezy tracks that have been circulating around the scene. Joe Budden “Pain In His Life” (Saigon Diss)
January 18, 2009
Joe Budden responds extremely fast to the Saigon record that dropped a few days ago. Joe Budden really did an excellent job with this response and in my opinion Budden is up right now after this track. 5 minutes of straight spitting. Ether… This will definitely get ugly if it keeps going. “I made Just (Blaze) more money than you did.” / “He went in a tight end, but came out a wide receiver.” – Joe Budden Always a free download here. Saigon ft. Prodigy – “Under-Achiever”
January 18, 2009
Saigon releases a song (Joe Budden Diss) off of his upcoming mixtape “Warning Shots 2.” The song doesn’t technically feature Prodigy, Saigon just dropped in some audio from him talking about Joe Budden at the end of the track. Always a free download over here. Get Right…
Mick Boogie – Unbelievable (The Notorious Edition)
January 17, 2009
Many of you may remember that we posted this tape about 2 years ago. Well, due to all of the Biggie Smalls news going on due to the movie, Mick decided to re-release. I’ll let him describe it.
Two years ago… we released what many considered a classic mixtape… Unbelievable… a carefully chosen selection of blends and reproductions that many considered music Biggie would actually have chosen in 2007. After adding a multitude of guest vocals, we received the ultimate blessing… hosting by Puff! And the rest is history…
However… 2 years later, we wanted to update/add-on/revise our project and take it even further… in honor of the new Biggie movie. So we present… Unbelievable: The Notorious Edition… all your favorite songs from the original mix… plus new joints featuring Redman, Sheek, Gravy (yes, that Gravy) and more.

Dj Mike Nice – Brooklyn Bullshit
January 16, 2009
Dj Mike Nice aka “King of Da Crates,” releases a very cool and collectible mixtape. The new tape features rare demos and unreleased material from the 3 major artists out of Brooklyn (Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z & Big Daddy Kane). The mixtape features demos and freestyles that date as far back as to when Biggie was 12 and Jay-Z was 17. Mike Nice definitely did some serious digging to get a hold of some of these recordings. Of course, the audio quality isn’t the best, but this is a timeless mixtape and worth the listen. Check it out. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtapes.
