Dj Rhettmatic & Ghostface – 36 Deadly Darts

December 29, 2008

Dj Rhettmatic posted this mix up on his Myspace blog a few days ago. I’ll let his words explain the mix for you:

Peace Everyone,

It’s the day of Christmas Eve and I just wanted to give y’all one more treat for the holidays.

This particular mix is called “36 DEADLY DARTS”….it’s the official “Ghostface Killah Doll” Mix CD; well, it’s supposed to be. Amish from 4Cast Unlimited reached out to me last year to make a mix with a collection of Ghostface songs that would be an accompaniment to the limited edition doll. A least 1,000 CDs were made; half Amish would pass out during the clothing trade shows such as Magic, the other half, I would sell while I was on the road. There were actually some Ghostface dolls made (and btw, they look dope, considering how expensive it was…i think retail was going for $200. The doll had a real Gold Chain.) The last time I heard, it was in production.

Anyways, there was a buzz for the doll and I actually got a thumbs up from Ghostface for the mix, but for some reason, I don’t think the official doll ever came out, nor the mix CD. It’s been over a year and I haven’t heard anything official of the release of the doll or the CD, so I decided, why not share it with you good peoples…..I really like the mix and I really put some work into this. It would be nice to have people actually hear it. If some of you good peoples actually have the official Mix CD with the official artwork and all, consider yourself lucky!

So everybody, download the mix, share it with your friends, post it up on your music blogs (sorry Shake, 4Cast did the mixtape in conjunction with HipHopGame when it was supposed to come out, that’s why you hear those HipHopGame drops….), & hopefully yall would like the mix.

Thanks for peeping out this mix as well as the KDAY mixes and the Khrysis mixtape. Happy Holidays peoples…see you in 2009!

The Delivery Guys (Dj Jamad & Dj Wreckineyez) – Order #01: Hosted by Don Cannon

December 28, 2008

Don Cannon is stepping into the mixtape scene very well. His mixtape with Asher Roth was a huge success and his latest with Marsha Ambrosius is just as notable. On this latest one he gets together Asher Roth’s dj,  Dj Wreckineyez and Dj Jamad to mix up some brand new music for your listening pleasure. The mixtape is titled the Order # 01, which tends to seem like there will be more installments in the future. Wreckineyez and Jamad put together this tape well. The audio is high quality and they actualy cut it up, which is a rare featured skill from dj’s, on tapes these days.  Cannon is making his mark as a talented producer as well. He does a good job hosting the tape also. Check it out. New music from Asher Roth, Mickey Factz, Mos Def, Black Milk, Royce Da 5′9″, Ludacris, The Cool Kids and more. Kanye West ft. Jay-Z – “Go Hard” (Remix)

December 28, 2008

Jay-Z drops a new verse onto “Go Hard.” The only difference in the remix is Jay-Z’s verse. It still has horrible Khaled on it shouting that he’s the best in all. I’ve been trying to blacklist Khaled from the site, but I figure that people want a new verse from Jay-Z. So here it is. Always a free download here. Get Right….

Biggy Jiggy Mixtapes – Exclusive Tunes 53

December 27, 2008

Alright, this is number 53 in the Biggy Jiggy Mixtapes “Exclusive Tunes” series. I have never posted a Biggy Jiggy mixtape before on the site. I have always seen them, but was turned off by the artwork and the name “Biggy Jiggy Mixtapes?” But, after downloading this latest one, I have changed my mind and think that his tapes deserve the post every now and then, when a good one drops. The drops are low and rare and the audio quality of the songs is good, but that makes for a larger download. The mixtape features new tracks from pretty much everyone, a real eclectic mix. New music from Jim Jones, Lil Wayne, Ron Browz, Fat Joe, Ya Boy, T-Pain, Loyd Banks and many more. A dope mixtape to get some brand new music. I think Biggy Jiggy Mixtapes will replace the Whiteowl tapes, unless Whiteowl steps it up. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape. Tracklist and downloads below. Mick Boogie & Terry Urban – 2008 Recap

December 25, 2008

Mick Boogie and Terry Urban had an extremely good year in 2008. Combined, they released some of the best mixtapes ever, not just in 2008. They decided to close out the year with this nice little mix featuring some of the greatest tracks from ‘08. A nice mix and, of course, it’s put together well and is the high audio quality you have come to expect from Mick. Featuring songs from The Dream, Jay-Z, Kanye, Q-Tip, Lil Wayne, KiD CuDi and many more. Of course Mick can’t just put out a “compilation” mixtape, he needs to be unique and creative. So, every track on the tape is remixed in one way or another, and remixed well. Check it out. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtapes. In anticipation for Dr. Dre’s upcoming album Detox, Dj OSK decided to put some of the lyrics from The Lox on top of some of the beats from the good doctor. Sha has been hard at work dropping mixtapes and singles throughout the internet. If you haven’t heard any music from him check out the mixtape and then search for some of the newer material.
