Dj Khaled: Check Your Ego
August 31, 2008

After seeing the video blog from Dj Khaled the other day, I was compelled to write something about it. I consider myself somewhat of a hip-hop blogger/writer, so when Khaled said he was exposing all the “typers” I got a little offended. Even though he really didn’t expose anything. He didn’t really make much sense.
First off, for your financial sake Khaled, I hope you have a good savings plan. If I was a betting man, I would put my money on your cash flow stopping a lot sooner than your ego keeps whispering to you.
Dear Khaled’s ego, please take note and cut back on the hype and over cockiness. Tone yourself down ego, please for our listening pleasure. Sincerely yours, Hip-Hop.
So on to the video. Why in your right mind would Dj Khaled attack the very people that are helping his career. I mean, where’s his manager? He should have consulted someone with reason, before releasing wreckless career injuring videos like this. I mean the “typers” that he speaks of are the people who have been helping his image. The “typers” are giving him publicity for free. This is something that artists used to have to pay major PR firms to do. Now, in this era of internet technology, artists can gain major exposure for free. Essentialy his statement bashing the “typers” is the same as directing it towards the professional writers in the industry. Typers=Bloggers=Writers=Journalists, in my opinion. Come on Khaled, keep your internet naive mouth closed, opening it like this will do nothing except harm your career.
I do respect Khaled’s movement, his music, and his consistent work ethic. I do wish the best of luck to him with his musical career. But after the video statement, I will probably rarely give Dj Khaled any promotion on this site and I urge my fellow “typers” to follow suit. We the best! Not for long… Get Right…

See, I’m a fan of REAL hip-hop, 95 % based on rap from the early 2000’s, 90’s and late 80’s… I try not to be ignorant, and have found an interest in a few artists releasing music today (even less on the mainstream tip). But if there’s one thing I hate more than southern bullshit ruining hip-hop, it’s DJ Khaled and his posse of We The Best dickriders. I saw his new music video for “We Out Here Grindin”, arguably one of the worst songs ever made, and the way this dude carries himself is just enraging. I never saw DJ Premier adlibbing Guru’s lines, on his own fucking music video…. and to add Khaled has only made one instrumental that is even respectable: “We Takin Over”. This is a pretty pointless rant, so I’ll conclude with
“DJ Khaled gargles Akon’s nuts in his mouth”
I really dont like this artical, Dj Khaled dosent get enough credit for getting these artist together to make something differrent (styles, songs themes, ideas..) They say the dj is dead but what Khaled is doing is bringing a whole deffinition to Dj. His songs are what a non-main stream artist would rap about money, life, the hood being a dj now is not worth it because the artists get all the credit when they hardly have to do much to make a hit. Dj’s code of Honor
Im with GetRight! on this one. I never like khaled not for one min. And now that im pretty muched promised that i wont see him on this site anymore, makes me just that much happyer.
Just out of curiosity, what did Khaled do on “Go Hard” besides talk over the beat? (Kanye rips that track btw).
I’m all about giving homie little play, but I don’t think hip-hop necessarily revolves around the internet so we wouldn’t hurt him too much. Besides, AHH, SOHH, and all those other sites make too much paper to care about what Khaled says or does.
Keep up the dope writing on the site!
