50 Cent - Forever King
Here is the second tape in 50 Cent’s summer mixtape release madness before his studio album drops this fall. Forever King originally was a 90’s sort of tribute tape, but 50 decided to throw in some other new tracks in there to keep it mixed up. The tape is dope. I’m not sure yet if I like this one or the first one better. Time will tell. This cover is better by far though. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Dj Teddy King & Mondee - The Ghostface Show
Dj Teddy King and Mondee recorded this Ghostface mix on November 20th last year on Boundless Radio in NYC. The mix was so dope that they decided to release it as a mixtape for the masses to download. You may remember Teddy King from his popular Nas mix, featuring ultra rare Nas tracks. This mixtape features 45 minutes of Teddy King spinning classic Ghostface material and then another hour or so of Mondee spinning a dope classic hip hop mix. Overall the mix is about 2 hours long and worth it. Definitely a must download in my opinion. Also, be sure to check out Boundless NY for dope clothing and more dope mixes. Wale - Back To The Feature
Here it is, finally. The long awaited mixtape from Wale and 9th Wonder. Some may consider this mixtape the ‘Detox” of mixtapes, because for a minute it seemed as though it was never going to see the light of day. Wale though premiered it himself on his Twitter page. The mixtape is dope, exactly what you would expect from this rising star. I know that the new cover art is different from this one, but I like this artwork better, this is the older version. 50 Cent - War Angel LP
This is the first tape in 50’s recently announced summer mixtape releases. He says that this one is more of an LP than a mixtape. Featuring 10 tracks with 50 going in over instrumentals and leaning back into the 90’s era of hip hop. 50 pushed his album back until September, so this summer is going to be filled with a few more of these LP/mixtapes from Curtis. According to 50, he is going to shoot a video for each one of the tracks on the LP. He says he wants to bring hip hop back, away from the watered down music of today. J.Cole - The Warm Up
Running on the buzz of being the Roc Nation’s first signee, J.Cole drops his new mixtape “The Warm Up.” I actually first began to really listen to J.Cole after I saw him perform. I believe that these days, you can be the nicest out, but if you can’t perform and entertain then you’re not going anywhere special. J.Cole can though, and that’s why he is someone that you should be paying attention to. The new tape features Cole rhyming over known beats, classic beats and new tracks. He’s a talented artist and if you haven’t given him a chance yet, then this is a good download to do that with. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Travis Barker & Dj AM - Fix Your Face Vol.2 (Coachella ‘09)
The first mixtape that these two put together (before the plane crash), was a huge success on Get Right Music. It was one of the most downloaded mixtapes to date. To follow up on that tape, the duo release Volume 2 of the “Fix Your Face” mixtapes. This one is also dubbed “Live From Coachella ‘09.” The mixtape is an ill mix of hip hop, pop, rock and dance. Dj AM plays the records and Barker plays the drums over the beats. The blend works perfectly. They are giving the mixtape away for free in exchange for one tweet about the tape. A pretty cool idea to help promote the project using Twitter. You can check that site out right here. This is the perfect mixtape to just throw on during a party and push play and let it ride. Dj Omen: Nas “No Apologies II”
Dj Omen releases a new mixtape featuring all of the latest Nas records that have been released. Since his last album, Nas has still been recording here and there. Releasing full songs, as well as featuring on various artist’s tracks. Nas is currently working on a duo album with Damien Marley. I also predict that due to his current divorce situation with Kellis, we will see a lot more Nas music in the future. This mixtape is a nice compelation of Nas’s latest works. Featuring song with Jadakiss, Rick Ross, David Banner, Sticman, Ludacris, T.I. and more. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. The Empire & Drake - Friends With Money

Drake is the artist that everyone is talking about right now, so naturally people are going to try and ride the buzz and drop mixtapes featuring him. The Empire though stands out amongst the crowd when it comes to mixtape dj’s and projects. On this special edition “Drought Is Over” mixtape, The Empire puts together a mix of the latest and best of Drake. Featuring some new tracks as well as some of the classic Drizzy tracks that you may have missed. We did just recently post up Drake’s first 2 mixtapes, so check those out as well if you want to complete your Drake library. Drake has a huge buzz right now because he is an extremely talented artist and I believe he deserves the shine. Hopefully he keeps making the right moves in the future and continues to grow as an artist. The mixtape has some featuring spots from Lil Wayne, Mickey Factz, Colin Munroe, Bun B, Trey Songz and more. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. Joell Ortiz - Covers The Classics
Many say that Joell Ortiz is the best rapper in the group Slaughterhouse. I’ll leave that up for comments debate. Joell Ortiz is on his grind though, and in my opinion, one of the most improved artists out right now. He continues to improve, as it shows with this tape here. The mixtape is hosted by Dj Green Lantern and features Ortiz going in over some classic instrumentals such as “Rapper’s Delight,” “Mass Appeal,” “4,3,2,1,” “Drop A Gem On Em,” and much much more. A great creative idea for a mixtape, and Joell kills these beats. Check it out. Always a free mixtape download over here. Home of the free hip hop mixtape downloads. The Cool Kids - Gone Fishing
The Cool Kids are back with a brand new mixtape titled “Gone Fishing.” The tape is put together with the help of Cake Recordings and Don Cannon. The Cool Kids are quickly on the rise and this mixtape will definitely help push them forward. Here is what they had to say about the tape:
Its out.. Enjoy the Summer.. Hot Weather.. Beaches.. Road Trips.. and all that shit. Hopefully this will be the soundtrack..
Thank You.. Music makes the world go round.. glad to be involved Download it.. Burn it.. Listen to it from start to finish..

Standout Tracks:
6. “Premium Blends” ft. Shorty K
Busta Rhymes & Dj Scratch - I Bullshit You Not
Here’s the brand new tape from Bussa Buss. The mixtape is short featuring only 12 tracks, but all of the tracks are produced by Dj Scratch. Busta put this tape out strictly for people to download for free and in promotion for his upcoming album. There are featuring spots from Uncle Murda, Maino, Raekwon, Lil Fame, Reek and more. The mixtape is dope and has some good music on it from Busta. You can tell though that Busta made this mixtape with it being a mixtape in mind. That doesn’t necessarily take away from it, but you have to have in mind that it’s a mixtape and not a mixtape that has unreleased and leaked album cuts. Still worth the download. Check it out. Lloyd Banks: 4-30-09 (Double Disc)
Here is Lloyd Banks’ latest mixtape, a double disc project, hosted by none other than Dj Whoo Kid. Thanks for the shoutouts on the tape Whoo Kid! Banks is back at it going in over various instrumentals. All the tracks on here are new. These mixtapes are where Lloyd Banks really shines in my opinion. He’s got to keep his name out there also, and since he is in the back of the line in terms of release dates for G-Unit, then dropping free music online is great promotion for him. The mixtape has a bunch of featuring spots from artists like Jay Rock, Ron Browz, Uncle Murda, and Red Cafe. A pretty good mixtape from Lloyd Banks and definitely worth the download if you’re a fan. Standout Tracks:
“Me and My Strap” ft. Nipsey Hustle
Get Right Music: Swine Flu
For those who frequent the site, you may remember we used to put out a monthly “summary” mixtape featuring some of the latest songs out. Those mixtapes sort of came to a halt just from being too busy to get them together. A lot of people since the stop have been asking for them again. So, here we go. I’m not sure if we will do them every month, but we will try to get them out more frequently. The first one up is “Swine Flu” (just having some fun with it). Basically, it’s just a compilation of the songs that have been getting lots of play at the office, the car, the gym, the iPod… Featuring new music from Drake, PacDiv, The Clipse, Asher Roth, Eminem, KiD CuDi, and more. I also threw in the latest Eminem interview from Shade 45 (17Minutes long) as a bonus. Hope you all enjoy. Please leave some feedback in the comments. Thank you for the support with the site.
